The Automotive Power Supply Testing System features a modular design and is a compact EMC testing system used for immunity testing of automotive electronic devices against pulsed conducted disturbances on wiring. With a high-performance version, it can test automotive electrical/electronic equipment with high instantaneous current consumption, and even complete vehicle testing.
Basic Schematic:

Main components of the Spitzenberger & Spies Automotive Power Supply Quality Testing System:
■ Control and signal generation unit SyCore
■ PAS LVA or GN/KFZ linear amplifier for emulating the automotive power supply
■ Load Dump Generator
■ CAR-TESTER-SYSTEM 14 Transient Pulse Generator
Emulates scenarios in which the automotive power supply system is disturbed by high-load switching, power supply fluctuations, or emulated emergency-condition power failures.
PAS…/GN/KFZ Series 2-/4- Quadrant Amplifiers:
Can be used to emulate DC 12V, DC 24V, and the new DC 48V power supplies.

The 2-/4- quadrant amplifiers of the PAS GN/KFZ series are adjustable voltage sources manufactured by Spitzenberger & Spies for automotive power supply simulation systems. They provide test voltages of 12V, 24V, and 48V. Key features include:
■ 2-/4- quadrant power amplifier
■ Wide frequency range
■ Freely programmable waveform generator
■ Short-term overload capability
■ Low internal impedance
■ Fast voltage slew rate
■ Common output
